Using Marlow (AI Assistant)

Marlow is your AI business advisor built into the platform. Think of him as an experienced colleague you can ask anything—from "how do I do this?" to "what should I say to this contact?"

Who is Marlow?

Marlow is designed as an experienced business growth advisor. He:

  • Speaks from years of experience, not from a script
  • Gives practical, actionable advice
  • Understands the challenges of building a home business
  • Is honest about what works and what doesn't
  • Treats you as a capable peer, not someone who needs hand-holding

You'll find Marlow useful whether you're figuring out a platform feature or thinking through business strategy.

Opening the Chat

Look for the blue chat button in the bottom-right corner of any page. Click it to open the chat drawer.

Your conversation history is saved, so you can pick up where you left off. Click Load older messages to see previous conversations.

To close the chat, click the X, click outside the drawer, or press Escape.

What You Can Ask

Platform Questions

Ask about any feature:

  • "How do I import contacts?"
  • "Where are my scheduled messages?"
  • "How do I connect my calendar?"

Business Strategy

Get coaching and advice:

  • "How often should I follow up with prospects?"
  • "What's a good approach for cold outreach?"

Ask about specific people in your CRM:

Context Awareness

Marlow knows what page you're on. If you're viewing a contact's profile, you can ask "What should I say to them?" and Marlow understands who "them" is.

A small indicator below the chat title shows the current context:

  • "Viewing: John Smith" — You're on John's contact page
  • "Reviewing: 90-Day Plan" — You're looking at your plan

This makes conversations faster because you don't have to re-explain everything.

How Marlow Works

When you ask something, Marlow might:

Think through the problem — Sometimes you'll see a collapsible "Thinking" section showing his reasoning.

Look things up — He might search your contacts, load conversation history, or check your action queue. You'll see progress indicators when this happens.

Give you a direct answer — Most responses are straightforward text with advice or information.

Getting Better Answers

Be Specific

Vague questions get vague answers:

  • Instead of: "Help with messaging"
  • Try: "Help me write a follow-up for a prospect who hasn't replied in 3 days"

Provide Context

If Marlow doesn't know something, share the details:

  • What's the situation?
  • What have you already tried?
  • What outcome are you hoping for?

Open the Relevant Page First

For contact-specific help, navigate to that contact's page before asking. Marlow will have all their information at hand.

Ask Follow-ups

If the first response isn't quite right:

  • Ask for clarification
  • Request alternatives
  • Get more specific about what you need

What Marlow Can't Do

Marlow can't make changes directly—he advises, you decide. He can't:

  • Change your settings without you doing it
  • Send messages on your behalf
  • Access external websites or your email inbox
  • Complete actions without your approval

For complex account issues, use the platform's support resources.

A Note on Quizzes

Chat is temporarily disabled during Training Center quizzes to ensure fair assessment. You'll see a message explaining this if you try to open chat during a quiz.

Usage Limits

AI features have limits based on your plan. You'll see a notification if you're approaching the limit. Limits reset daily.

Common Questions

"The chat won't load."

Refresh the page. Check your internet connection. Try logging out and back in.

"Marlow doesn't seem to understand my context."

Make sure you're on the relevant page (like a contact's profile) before asking. Be more specific in your question.

"The response doesn't seem right."

Clarify what you meant. Provide more details. Ask for alternatives.

"I don't see the chat button."

It might be hidden on certain pages. Make sure you're logged in. Try refreshing.
